Dong-A Leaders Club Highly Competitive This Year | [영어뉴스] 최종수정일 / 2008년 04월 25일 |
Dong-A Leaders Club, which was formed in 2004, has recruited its fifth class. Some 439 out of the 1190 student applicants
were selected as new members and put into 33 different groups.
"We judged candidates not only on objective criteria such as TOEIC scores and grades but also their demeanor and
character through interviews," Kim Ae-hee of the DAU Job information Center said.
New members attended career workshops which were held in Kolon Hotel in Gyeongju. They began working actively after
they returned from the workshops, the first from March 14 to March 16, the second from March 20 to 22, the third from March
23 to 25.
"Almost every Dong-A Leaders Club member has achieved his or her goals after graduation.
The results show that members derive much benefit from their participation in the club.
"I join Leaders Club. I'll do my best working with my fellow group members. I hope I can get my dream job!," Lee Woo-jin
(Senior, International Tourism), one of the new members, exclaimed.
The Job information Center will give support for study-rooms, books, other facilities, and expenses. There will be several
meetings with former members who are working for large enterprises as well. "Although it will be tough, if you do your best
and do not give up, you can smile on graduation day," Kim Ae-hee advised students who are preparing to go on the job
market. "Please have a positive attitude.
We can offer information that you need. Feel free to come and prepare for your future," for freshmen and sophomores, she
added.
