The Graduate School of Northeast Asian Studies (Dean, Jeong Sang-hee) and the Institute for East Asia Studies (Director, Jeong Sang-hee) held the second Dong-A Global Forum between October 8 and 29.  International scholars from
Russia, Germany, China, and England gathered at Chunchu Hall on Gudeok campus.

Convened by Prof. Jeong, the proceedings began on October 8 with a paper on 'Korean-Japanese Relations: Current Trends and Perspectives,' given by the distinguished professor, Dr. Arthur Stockwin of Oxford University, with Prof.  Park Hong-suk (Political Science and Diplomacy) as the respondent.  The lecture series continued on October 15 with 'Energy and Energy Policy in the Russian Federation, Focusing on Siberia' by Prof. Yevgency B. Tsoy of Novosibirsk State Technical University.

On October 22, the lecture 'Energy Policy in Germany and the European Union with Special Focus on Alternative Energy' was delivered by Prof.  Christopher Stehr of University of Ulm.  The series concluded with 'Energy and Energy Policy in China, Focusing on Water Resources,' a talk given by Prof. Liu De-Fu of China's Three Gorges University.
