As an adolescent you were looked after by a teacher and parents, but as a university student, you should do all things by yourself. So a student with information is at an advantage and can see the road he needs to take. Our university gives us to lots of programs. From among these, it is an international exchange program that gives students an edge in global times.
Determined to internationalize, there are many programs in our university this year. Also our university dispatched about 500 students to foreign universities, having made an academic exchange agreement with 17 foreign universities last year.

What program is appropriate for me
The study abroad program implemented at our university is a system to complete a linguistic education progress, setting up a sisterhood relationship with universities abroad. It is a program to improve global sense and to get suitable competence for global times, both improving language abilities and experiencing foreign culture.
Joh So-hyeon(English, 3) is studying the first semester of a third year at the University of Western Australia, using the program hosted by our university. She said, "A preparatory period to study abroad was short relatively. I believe that our university conducts this program. Universities of the world exchange with our university at a high level, and that's why teaching is of good quality."
Also our university implements studying summer/winter session abroad. Summer session dispatch situation in 2009 year was that 20 students of our university went to and returned from U.S.A(2 universities), Australia(2), China(1) and Japan(1) over 5 weeks. Students go to study abroad at British-American, China and Japan each year. Application is open to sophomores and juniors of our university with a GPA of 3.0 and above with special preference given to those with language ability. One can get credit for maximum of 9 credits, learning other countries' culture and attending classes profitably during vacation.
Also, you get lots of experience owing to servicing abroad program during vacation. Programs are voluntary servicing abroad of International Work Camp Organization (they help during about 2~3 weeks all over the world) and Education Service at Yanji city (giving education service and implementing recreation at Yanji city in China). Our university gives some of entry fee and 2 grades of community service grades.
Exchange Student Program is inter-exchange students of our university, setting up a sisterhood relationship with universities of the world for a certain period. It is a program that involves both attending formal class at university abroad and being able to learn culture.
Lee Jun-young(English, 3) is doing the first semester of a third year in Hertfordshire University that is located in Hatfield in the UK. He said, "Through attending class of foreign university, beyond studying English, it can make you get a great experience of something new and special, such as the country's campus culture." He added, "Compared with that of Korean university, the atmosphere of the module is much more unrestricted, making students to take part in a lesson easily at this university. There is a seminar class given to every student in order for students to discuss with one another, based on what they have learned. When it comes to assignments, it is very helpful for students to write creative essays and reports. If you are interested in this, you should know what kinds of English test you have to study for, as well as have a good grade in the modules of university." He strongly recommended, "Students who want to be an exchange student must improve particularly listening skills though every aspect of language is important." He paid tuition fee of our university being exempt from the tuition fee of Hertfordshire University. Also he received 3 million won from our university as a scholarship.
Kim Sung-tea, the person in charge of office of external and international affair, said, "Everyone who is interested in international exchange program can apply for it. Most students don't apply because they think there is keen competition, but the number of applicants failed to meet the quorum. If many students apply, our university's program will be vitalized." He advised students, who want to go to British-American area, "It is advantageous that you get an official academic grade when you are lower classmen."
If you don't know about our university's international exchange program, how about using it with its low prices, quality educational programs Widen your international sense and mind. You can know the details at our university's office of external and international affairs.
